Spokane has a REAL taco joint

If you have ever been to the Portland/Vancouver area and experienced "Muchos Gracias" or "Super Burrito" or been in San Diego and eat'n at a Ramone's, Santana's, or another real taco shop (not these stupid taco trucks we have here in Spokane) then you will appreciate this place as much as me! We all know that a good burrito is hard to come by the further North you get. The place is grimy as sin on the inside but for those of you who aren't in the loop of things you need to calm down cuz taco joints are supposed to be grimy!

The Sanctuary

Behold.  This is THE ultimate party jacket.  Black pleather exterior with cheap nylon fluff interior letterman.  I got it for $8 at Steve and Barry's going out of business sale.  It's a good fit and is currently hanging up on the wall in "The Sanctuary" until further notice.  The Sanctuary is my basement space in which I have a great sounding ipod stereo courtesy of Smitty, sweet dart board, pewter gold and silver chess set with superior/perfectly aligned maple and oak chess board , one of those aero beds with the self inflating engine already installed, the Wii complete with two guitar hero's and nerf attachments, and a soon to be mini bar with slate counter top along with a 34 inch mini fridge filled with soda, vitamin water, red bull, and choice beers.  It's also where we keep the weights and all my crap.  It is the ultimate man space.

Superbowl

The game was awesome.  But what's more exciting than the big game and extravagant commercials is the super bowl food.  This customary event marked dubious by some is nothing short of legacy to the rest of us.  It's more than just another holiday excuse to over eat and drink many beers.  This day marks the heritage of food connoisseurs from all walks of American life to enjoy and rage hard.

WHAT I ATE:::
I started off by eating some amazing beef chili with fritos covered in cheddar cheese, which is more commonly known as a "frito boat," except there was far more chili than fritos in this mix.  Then Alicia made some amazing cupcakes covered in red or yellow sprinkles.  We also had a couple casual dips of french onion and spinach artichoke along side carrot sticks, mushroom caps, celery, and radishes.  Last but not least we made "pizza pinwheels", which consists of pepperoni, salami, mozzerella (monterey jack works just as well), chopped basil, and spinach rolled into pizza crust brushed with olive oil and baked at 425 for 15-20 minutes.  Then you just cut the rolls into 1 inch wide slices.
